The Search Console Panel
On this page
Connect a Google Search Console property to the Desk and the nightly sync pulls clicks, impressions, CTR and position per page and query into the site's own database. The Search Console panel then answers the question every editor asks: which page should I work on next?
Connecting
Settings, Analytics and Search: paste a service-account JSON credential and the property name. The credential is stored encrypted with the server's data-protection keys, never in plain text, and the panel shows Connected to ... as ... when the first sync succeeds.
Reading it
The panel groups pages into bands: striking distance (positions 8 to 20 with impressions), winners, and losers (impressions down 30 percent or more). Each row links to the post. A page at position 11 with real impressions is worth more than a new post nobody has seen yet, and the panel makes that visible.
Retention
Rows are kept for sixteen months by default, matching what Google exposes, so year-over-year comparison works. On this demo nothing is connected; the panel shows its empty state and the instructions. See analytics without third-party scripts for the on-site numbers that need no connection at all.
