Revisions, Preview Links and Scheduling
On this page
Three features turn a draft into something a team can work on: a revision history that keeps every save, preview links that let an outsider read an unpublished post, and a scheduler that publishes at a set time. All three are on by default.
Revision history
Every save of a post or page writes a snapshot. Open Revisions on any editor to see the list, compare two versions side by side with a word-level diff, and restore one. The number kept per item is a site setting (ten on this demo).
Preview links
A preview link is a signed URL that shows the current draft to anyone who has it, without a sign-in. Links expire, are tied to the post, and are marked noindex so a leaked link never reaches a search index. Revoke one by generating a new one.
Scheduling
Set a future date in the Publish panel. The in-process job runner publishes the post within a minute of that time; no external cron. The Posts list shows scheduled items with their time, and the public site shows nothing until then. There is a scheduled post on this demo right now: What Changed in the Last Reset, due in two days.
The editorial workflow
Authors who cannot publish submit a post for review. An Editor either publishes it or returns it with a note; the author sees the note at the top of the editor. The demo Author has one post in each state. See comments and moderation for the reader side of the same discipline, and the Markdown editor if you write in plain text.
